Pilates for Injuries & Rehabilitation

More Than Just Reformer Pilates

A Fully Integrated Approach

With so many Reformer classes popping up everywhere, it’s easy to assume that Pilates is just about working out on a Reformer in a group setting (sometimes very large groups!). Is feeling the burn really But true Pilates is far more than that.

At Mindful Pilates we integrate the full spectrum of Pilates equipment, including the Cadillac, Tower, Chair, Ladder Barrel, Arc Barrel Flex Bands, Rotational Discs, and more, to tailor sessions specifically for injury recovery, rehabilitation, and long-term movement health.

Claudia has undergone extensive training in working with injuries and special populations. Her expertise goes beyond standard Reformer Pilates. She understand how to activate local stabilizers, mobilize key movement patterns and strengthen the body in a way that supports recovery and long-term well-being. See her bio here.

Conditions We Work With
  • Spinal Conditions: Scoliosis, herniated discs, nerve entrapment and impingement, facet joints
  • Joint Issues: Osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, hypermobility, post-surgical rehabilitation
  • Upper & Lower Body Injuries: Shoulder instability, hip and knee injuries, pelvic imbalances, foot and ankle and hand and wrist issues

Claudia was wonderful and knew how to make these exercises simpler for older people like me. I was very scared of Pilates but she was so gentle that I am now happy to continue.” (K. 81, degenerative scoliosis.)

One-to-One First: A Personalised Approach

To ensure safe and effective training, our process starts with a one-to-one assessment. This allows us to evaluate your posture, movement patterns and specific needs. Based on this, we determine whether you can progress into a small group class or if continued individual sessions are recommended for your condition for a certain time.

Please Note: When registering for a class, make sure to provide detailed information about your injuries or conditions in the registration box. This helps us tailor the session to your needs.

Is Feeling the Burn a Sign of True Strength?

Does doing 50 reps of a Shoulder Bridge or a Split mean you’re getting stronger? Or does it just mean you feel the burn? True strength comes from deep stabilizing muscles working effectively, improving control, flexibility, and resilience, not just fatigue. Our method ensures that you’re building real, lasting strength in a way that supports your body and prevents injury..and yes You’ll feel the burn!
