At Mindful Pilates, we offer a range of small group Reformer classes, taught by specialist instructors. Every class on our timetable is designed with a specific purpose, whether that’s building a foundation, developing strength, sculpting and toning the body or adding a cardio challenge.
Private one-to-one and duet sessions are also available for those who prefer a more individual approach. Below you’ll find a description of each class to help you find the right fit.
Reformer 1/2
Reformer 1/2 covers the foundations: how the equipment works, how to move safely and the fundamental movements of Pilates, before the sessions get more complex. We recommend this class for new clients, pre- and post-natal clients, and anyone coming back from an injury or managing a health condition.
Reformer Mixed Abilities
A versatile class that works across a range of experience levels in the same session. Your instructor will offer modifications and progressions throughout, so whether you’re consolidating your foundations or working at a more intermediate level, the class adapts to you.
Reformer 2/3
For clients who are confident on the reformer and ready to work at a higher level. Reformer 2/3 builds on established technique with more complex sequencing and greater demands on strength, control and precision.
Reformer Burn & Sculpt
Reformer Burn & Sculpt is a high-energy class but with no impact. Burn & Sculpt combines the reformer with resistance bands, weights and the jumping with the jumpboard to work the whole body without loading your joints. If you’ve been looking for something that challenges you and builds strength, this is it.
Reformer & Strength training
Reformer & Strength combines the resistance of the reformer with free weights and dumbbells to create a session focused on building real, functional strength. The class targets muscle development and bone density alongside balance and core stability that sits at the heart of all Pilates training. It is a class that suits clients who are comfortable on the reformer and ready to work with weights.
Total Body Sculpt
Everything in one session. Total Body Sculpt brings together the reformer, weights and standing exercises for a full-body workout. No two sessions are the same, and nothing gets left out.
